Don't even say that kiddingly! I've had patients that actually happened to! I had one guy who was pissed, slammed his gun down on the kitchen table (at least he was attempting to maintain his weapon--he was cleaning it) and kaboom, his wife didn't have half her face anymore. This was with a legally registered Sig Sauer (IIRC).OTOH, I also once treated a guy who was trying to rob the railroad clerk at Sutter Avenue. He shot himself in the calf trying to draw his weapon. When the cops recovered it from the scene, I'm told, it literally fell apart in their hands. |
