Jamaica avenue/Hillside terminal First...THEN Down to Rockaway Blvd along a median in the proposed Van Wyck Expressway..then elevated to Rockaway Blvd to join with the 120th avenue route from the Rockaway line.When Moses pulled his usual stunts..the line was to be relocated to the service road.. Queens COUNTY screamed bloody murder that the line was first delayed for the Hillside Branch..then deferred completely. Moses "promised the line WOULD BE BUILT"..but as you can see..nothing ever became of it untill the Archer line was proposed and built.. The Jamaica Van Wyck station..sits on what would have been the first of the IND VAN WYCK BLVD line. |
