Nice!!! :-)As far as overpowering, it is possible that this could have been a light engine move, and rather than pay a crew to just move light engines, they give them something to haul. This case could have simply been this empty light tank car. CSX does this up here on the River Line now between North Jersey and Selkirk. They used to run MASSIVE light engine deadhead moves, X-series train designators, sometimes in excess of 10 or more engines. Rather than pay a crew to run the light engines, sometimes only one or two engines even, they give them something to haul up with the engines and make it a complete train to justify the crew cost. Here is a video I took in Bergenfield. NJ almost 2 months ago which shows CSX X-794, North Bergen NJ to Selkirk Yard, Albany NY, where 6 light engines ended taking up a very short set of empty autoracks from the Little Ferry auto facility, with 6 light engines from North Bergen Yard. Normally this used to have been just the engines, but not anymore. |
