Years ago, I had a thread on Fulton Ferry. Nobody really knows why the BMT continued service there, even during rush hours, after the ferry closed. i remember seeing the ridership figures for the BMT for either 1927 or 1920, showing 33,000 fares paid. Breaking that down to a 5 day work week, that works out to about a little over 100 fares per day. WOW, they actually made only $5/day with the nickel fare? Was that really worth it?
