LION has carefully surveyed the surface of Ptiken from Euclid to 76th Street. There is no surface evidence whatsoever of any subway once the street enters Queens. No, not even a manhole on Pitkin which could access a tunnel. zipzeronaddaThere are plenty of subway grates on the Brooklyn side of the City Lion, but none on the Queens side. But then we KNOW about the Brooklyn Side of the tunnel. From in the tunnel, from the pictures that I have seen, it does look like the tracks pass under the wall, but that is all that the LION can say about it. I propose that we all join the Transit Museum, and then propose an guided expedition to 76th Street. We could use flat cars (fitted for pax use) to get to the wall but beyond a guide telling us what we are looking at, there will be little else to be seen. Still, I would pay to go on such a trip.
