There was however in addition to the Abex Hydraulic train, a test train with Westcode brakes which may have been the reason why the 46s had Westcode brakes as delivered. Also, just prior to GOH circa 1983, there was a test train with WABCO RT-2 brakes with Cineston controllers. I never saw that train in service but when I was a trainmaster in early 1984, I saw it laid up out of service in 207 St Yd. |
