Fares will be collected on the platforms.Swipe in and you are charged for a ride to GCT. Swipe off sooner and the charge is reduced. Swipe in at GCT and be charged for a ride to Boston, swipe off sooner and you are charged less. Been used in Japan since the '60s, probly more for all I know. It works. I tried to get off a train early so that I could walk back to the base by a different route, but the station agent, trying to be helpful put me back on the train telling me that I was not at the correct stop yet. My Japanese was not sufficient to discuss the issue. ROAR |
