You mean Verizoff !I had perfect DSL service for 5 years until 6 weeks ago. Then up and down every 5 minutes constantly for 3 weeks I dumped them and their phone service out of my house, got cable and had to buy a Cisco Router. For 2 computers I didn't at first understand that IPL addresses matter, but did not with DSL via a Ethernet splitter). For a week, all I got was India and never a call back. Then I threatened them with small claims court, so a domestic techie called me. But they are simply incapable of diagnosing an outage from their end. It is most likely a rotted out switch between the house and the switching station. No matter. They won't diagnose, and have no interest in maintaining an aging copper network. I predict Verizon will be nothing but Wireless and Fios in 5 years, and simply spin off the copper network business to a new generation of Baby Bells like Fair Point. |
