The BQE and LIE don't connect to I-87 either. and the Van Wyck doesn't connect to I-80 and on top of everything is a spur so should have an odd number.I-278 was originally intended to start on I-287 and end on I-95, and cross I-78 again in Williamsburg. I-495 originally extended from Secaucus (on I-95) to the Clearview Expressway (then I-78), while the Van Wyck runs from I-78 at the Bruckner Interchange (now I-295) to I-78 at the Nassau Expressway (now I-878 and NY-878). |
