The Bushwick Expressway would have run further north than Bushwick Avenue. That was called the "Middle Route" and was recommended by the planners as opposed to the South Route you describe and North Route. See nycroads.com.Are you certain the plans had been abandoned? The Bushwick Expressway was cancelled in 1971. |
