Well it's mostly been one poster's meme, although others have joined in from time to time with less fervor. Admittedly ARC G is still more useful and convenient than forcing a transfer to the subway in the middle of the Meadowlands, but the cost projections are wildly optimistic.With any luck Amtrak will at least provide provisions for new deep-bore tunnels under Manhattan to provide a real increase in commuter train capacity throughout Manhattan. |
