This story doesn't depict what railroaders go through on a daily basis depending on your craft. Their sitting there criticizing these workers for money that was earned legally and as mentioned negotiated in a contract agreement. If their stealing time that's one thing,if their caught sleeping alot that's another however since that doesn't sound like the case I'm assuming these guys are working hard for their money. I've been in the railroad industry for 8 years now and I haven't seen one easy job unless you sit behind a desk. I was a trackworker and a freight conductor and I earned every penny I made even on the days when there wasn't much work. People demand quality service but don't know the sweat, hard work, blood, tears, muscle, and not to mention the co-workers you use along the way and other situations we deal with to help keep things moving but I never hear stories on the good job that we do. However when a story like this come out people are out raged yeah right these guys deserve every penny and then some.
