Yeah there's a Transit Coalition video where the guy at Metro that heads up rail operations said that while they plan to run a Long Beach to San Gabriel Valley service, they really have no idea how it will work. From what I gathered their biggest concern is regarding train operators because the route will likely be too long for one operator to run. To that end what they may do is treat the line as two lines for operational purposes (switch train operators at 7th/metro or Union Station) in a way that most riders will hardly notice. |
