Easy solution.If you commit a crime against someone you do not know, you should be severely punished as the crime is random and society is in danger from such a person. If you attack someone doing their job, your punishment should be more severe also. Work sucks enough, you don't need to get attacked doing it, or be caught up in a 9/11 or 7/7 situation. If two rival gangs kill each other, it should be punished as it is a crime, and a disturbance of the peace. However, YOU are not the main target on the way to work, are you not? Then there is street justice. Hate crimes are there to protect all classes from such unnatural states of rage and hate. |
