It gave me an idea: a subway under Junction Boulevard, connecting the Rockaway line to LaGuardia Airport.Stops would be at 63rd Drive, 57th Avenue, Corona Avenue, Roosevelt Avenue, Northern Boulevard, Astoria Boulevard, 23rd Avenue, and LaGuardia Airport. Portions of the line would need to be dual level. While we're at it, might as well build a subway under the Long Island Expressway to Kissena Boulevard, but easily extendable all the way out to Little Neck Parkway. After Woodhaven/Junction, stops would be at 108th Street, College Point Boulevard, Main Street, Kissena Boulevard, 164th Street, Utopia Parkway, 188th Street, Francis Lewis Boulevard, Bell Boulevard, Springfield Boulevard, Douglaston Parkway, Marathon Parkway, Little Neck Parkway. |
