There's a million good reasons to reactivate the Rockaway line but unfortunately, it will never happen. There simply isn't enough political will to jump all of the hurdles that come with this project. It took 75 years to get a real start on the SAS and even so, we're not getting a full replacement for the 2nd Avenue El. And that was for a line that is clearly needed. |
