Her voice sounds very similar to the faster/more pleasing voice on the F train. She sounds very similar to Dianne Thompson (who we all know/fall asleep to on the 7th/Lenox line). Many people online/on the forums have already credited the F train announcements to Dianne Thompson by default from her years on the 2, but perhaps it's really Kathleen Campion who is announcing these more pleasant announcements. We probably will never know since an official report will probably never be made (unlike when the NTTs were new in 2000 when the voices were featured in a news article), but it's pretty interesting to hear the similarity between the two voices. I have heard Dianne Thompson on Bloomberg radio in the past and I don't doubt that she is capable of recording "faster, clearer announcements" either. I just think Kathleen Campion's delivery on radio sounds very similar to the delivery on the F train announcements. (Especially on the Jamaica-bound trains in Queens). |
