The Broadway Limited was a Pennsylvania Railroad train, and operated out of Penn Station, not GCT. Perhaps you are thinking of the Twentieth Century Limited, operated from GCT by the New York Central, and carried to Croton-Harmon by (IINM) "S" and "T" electric motors, where it was met by (in its heyday) a 5200-series Hudson.
