Demolition started near 75th Street, Queens on Jan 8th, 1958. It gradually headed west towards Atlantic Ave. Pennsylvania/Pitkin was still up in 1960, when my great-uncle drove me down penn Ave in his new 1960 Chevy Impala. No one seems to know when the final girder was removed, or where! |
