Actually there were plans to extend Fkln north from its present terminal but at the time it was originally proposed it would have involved extensive reconstruction of the line in the area of Franklin/Fulton since the Fulton St el which was at one time connected to the Franklin was at the same grade level as the Franklin. If I recall correctly, one such proposal would have the crosstown line proceed as an el along unnamed streets and eventually connect to the station complex at Qnsbro Plaza where there is a provision in the structure east of the station for some sort of elevated line. |
