Joe Brennan sent me the following information about the Hoboken El, which I post here since I didn't find it elsewhere online.
- Service began Jan 25, 1886, Hoboken Terminal to Palisade Ave. cable.

- Extension to Pavonia Ave open Jun 19, 1892 ; cable portion electric Dec 1892 for through service. 15 d t cars with 2 poles, no steps.

- Sometime between 1896 and 1905, to street railways as follows. Same until 1949 except as noted.
7 Jackson. Structure, Sip, Bergen, Fairmount, Monticello, Communipaw, Jackson, Long, Rose, Old Bergen, Gates. ret: same.
17 Summit. Structure, Palisade, Franklin, Central, Paterson Plank, Summit, Highpoint (22nd), Clinton (New York), Hackensack Plank (32nd), to Bergenline. return: Hackensack Plank (32nd), Summit, Paterson Plank, Central, Ferry St, New York, Ravine, structure.
17 some cars looped differently at north end: continue Summit to Hackensack Plank (32nd), to Bergenline, return Bergenline, Highpoint (22nd), Summit.
19 Union Hill. Structure, Palisade, Stevens (Monastery), Clinton (New York), Fulton (45th), Bergenline, 4th (48th), prw to Weehawken West Shore Terminal. return: prw, 4th (48th), Bergenline, Spring (Bergenline), Stevens (Monastery), Clinton (New York), prw in park, New York, Ravine, structure.
37 Oakland. Structure, Palisade, Prospect, Oakland, end at Hoboken Ave. ret: Hoboken, Palisade, structure.

- 1910, 37 extended Hoboken Ave to Hackensack River bridge.

- Starting 1912, 7 southbound cars run through loop at Sip Ave (J Sq) terminal.

- 1919, 37 extended to DL&W crossing (w of bridge).

- 1925, 37 cut back to rush hours only, end at Oakland and Hoboken Aves, from now on.

- From 1933 to 1938 only, 7 extended via Ocean, Merritt, Ave C, W 10th, Broadway, W 5th, Ave C to loop at 1st St.

- Starting 1938, 17 all cars loop same way: Summit, 22nd, New York, Hackensack Plank (32nd), to Bergenline. ret: Bergenline, 22nd St, Summit.

- 1949, all service ended.

The timeline maps have been updated to show the Hoboken El with these routes, along with a few changes to other parts of the map Mr. Brennan was able to advise me on.
