OKay..I must admit I made a big-big mistake....I got tripped up on the definition of "EMU."I had hoped only for submissions of equipment that operate either as single units or in married pairs like the Metra Electrics and the NICTD cars.... and have the capability to operate in trains of varying length, like shorter trains for off peak hours and longer trains for rush hours. The cars should also have end doors permitting movement from car to car. Of course these restrictions limit what the designers can do with the ends of the cars which is part of constraints the Metra and the NICTD designers had to contend with. If you choose to, please resubmit if your entry didn't fit the "new guidelines." In closing....my mistake. David Harrison |
