Actually the Brighton Express (1 or Q) nearly came to grief when the skip-stop was instituted for the Newark station lengthening. They actually decided that the skip-stop was so great they didn't need to restore the express service.This led to one of the first real public hearings of the TA, after which full express service was restored when the construction finished. |
