I see your point about predominant flow but the example I was referring to about the exit on the left referred to northbound traffic not southbound where the exit numbers are continuous. I see the traffic evenly split when I'm there. I'm not so sure the predominant flow is toward Long Island. It's confusing to go left when you are going right. The same is true when the Belt splits off from the BQE and there the predominant flow is on the right. |
