There will be no R-62s running in the B division. Take that to the bank. There will also not be any car shortage in 2016. Take that to the bank.It's very simple. Increase the maintenance window from, say 10,000 miles to 11,000 or 12,000 miles and you have several extra trains a day not out of service for maintenance. The tests were done 2 years ago using the R-44s as the test subjects. They passed the test and the expanded inspection windows can and will be implemented to save $$$ and improve car availability. |
