Has nothing to do with conscience!!! If you are law abiding, minding your business, and in no way committing illegal acts, and all of a sudden you are being questioned without any merit or reason for the questioning, it is stressing. How would you feel if you are in a legal spot, enjoying your hobby and all of a sudden law enforcement comes and questions you??? Would you feel it is justified knowing you did nothing wrong??? The couple of times (3 in total) I was ever questioned, I remained calm, and was even more open with them about what it is I was doing more than they even expected, and you know what??? I was left alone, and continued to do what I do when I railfan!! Sure, I remained calm and courteous (so it is clear to some here, I am not saying anyone else did not do same!!), but yes I felt it was unjustified and with no reason or merit at I have not nor would do anything wrong or illegal!!

I totally understand they have jobs to do, and I respect that, but let's face it, how often does the MTA PD effectively do their jobs??? Believe me, you do not want me to provide answers to that question, and knowledge I have to totally back up my answers, and even employees in dozens who can back my answer!! They hassle photographers in legal areas taking photographs (which is LEGAL on MTA property!!), yet when us crews have problems on the train, up to and including violent acts or threats of violent acts, they are no where to be found!!!
