You are neither a contractor, NYCT employee, or structural engineer. You know this how exactly? Each station in the NYCT system is different, and has its own set of issues whenever work is done on them. Obviously, which is why definitive statements made by clueless people like the ones Broadway Lion made are asinine. The Court Street project may simply not be safe to "open in stages", for reasons that are beyond your limited level of knowledge, but you stated that Broadway Lion was wrong, when, in fact, you cannot possibly know that. Here's that reading comprehension problem again. I was saying that Broadway Lion's REASON was NOT NECESSARILY the reason and that if NYCT really wanted to, they could have planned it so that the stairs could be opened earlier than other parts of the project. Remember, with certain amounts of time and money, anything is possible. Broadway Lion made a definitive statement about a subject he knows nothing about. I made clear that his definitely statement is FALSE. There could be tons of different explanations, and on top of that, like I've said, if NYCT really wanted it open early, they could have made it happen via established methods. |
