Did the LIRR tunnel under Atlantic have anything to do with the hold up since the lines were constructed around the same time?Also..I understand the IND wanted to build a branch line from the ENY station under Jamaica Avenue to the Jamaica EL at Cypress Hills..would have solved the direct Jamaica to Downtown Brooklyn problem.. why wasnt that followed thru? |
