Yes, the station shells are only as long as the width of the in use subway tunnels.As for 76th, it's a totally different situation, as in that case, the line was being built as it was supposed to keep going at that point. 76th wasn't (if it's there of course) a "provision", but instead a continuation of the line they were building. |
