Bicycles were there before automobiles too. Bikes got their own lanes, even though by the definition of some leftists that might be a sort of Jim Crow accommodation ("separate but equal" facilities and all—the ADA touts this in order to make accommodation at railroad stations and on board trains more expensive for transit agencies). People who walk get their own lanes too, only we call them "sidewalks" and raise their level above that of the roadway. (Jim Crowism‼) |

But our society always preserves "legacy" methods of transport (ie: waterways). Horses and automobiles must share the road, or a separate horse lane be devised (maybe a shared bike and horse lane).Horses came first. Live with it. |

No, nothing has to be done. These accidents do not even qualify to be a statistical anomaly - in the city there were more bike related accidents in the past week than horse ones all year. Banning horses would be a reaction to a hysterical few to the detriment of the tourism industry as well as the city's character.Ok, something does have to be done. The people calling for the ban need to be told to STFU. |
