That doesn't make them Catholics.In Indonesia, Catholic schools don't make the Muslim students attend catechism. You have been told this 1,000 times. The children are divided into groups based on their religion as defined by their parents. That's why the registration form filled out by Lolo Soetoro lists Barry Soetoro's religion as "Islam". It's illegal to try and convert someone in that country. By law the schools have to offer Koran classes, and what we call catechism. The choice has to be available so kids can study their parents religion. Since Obama's biological father and stepfather Lolo Soetoro were both Muslim, it made sense to consider Barry a Muslim. Had he been raised in the US, instead of a country that forces children to attended religious classes, I believe Obama would not have attended any kind of classes, because I don't think religion was a priority in his, or his parents lives. |
