And the leftwing propaganda that basically thinks other people's money is free game. This whole manufactured war on the rich is nothing short of class warfare. 50% of the country pays most of the taxes. Those people SUPPORT all the left wing programs. Without them, the left can't have their programs, and the country could not run. It's not the other 50% that provides the country with it's income. |

I've always been an advocate of having everyone pay income taxes. Even if it's just $10/head. Not only would that generate a lot of money, it would put everyone in the position of taxpayer, so everyone has a voice they can use. That would eliminate your "class" structure as the republicans designed. (this whole50% thing is the result of Reagan tax deform) |

The "war on the rich" is happening because they AREN'T paying more, want to pay less and have the access to power the rest of us could only dream of.Along that line of thought, there are no "job creators". I said everyone should pay. There also needs to be more brackets to ensure the rich and richest of the rich pay a fair amount. There used to be, but Reagan's people saw fit to lump the rich in with the upper middle class. That doesn't mean that anyone shouldn't pay. All should pay even a token amount, if only to ensure their voice as they too will then "skin in the game". It eliminates the argument from the rich that they are paying for the poor, who they think aren't rich for some imagined reason and are therefore unworthy of life itself. Fact is, the majority of poor people aren't paid well enough by their employers....the rich, so it's actually their doings create and perpetuate poverty. Nor will they effectively support public schools so the poor have the knowledge base to improve their lives. |
