No, you've pointed out that they treat black on white crime the same way as they treat black on black crime and white on white crime. They ignore it unless it's local and people die.White on blsck crime probably does get more coverage because it's considered unusual. |

On the contrary, white on black crime gets more coverage because the "media" wants the public to think that such crimes are part of a larger and historic pattern. Black on white crimes are downplayed for the same reason.There are lots of people of all races that would be interested in learning of black on white crimes (especially where race was the motivating factor) but the media for a number of reasons does not want to publish such stories. It's funny to me that NY papers never include the description of the suspect if the suspect is black, but often include it when the suspect is any other race or Hispanic. That doesn't happen in LA. |
