Re: Gallup: More say Obama same-sex marriage flip-flop more likely to make them NOT vote for him

What did Jesus say about sex with children?

I don't think Jesus says anything, but the bible says Isaac married Rebekah when he was 40 and she was 3.

Nothing, since the Old Testament already covered it thousands of years before he was born.

It's possible. Back then marriages were arranged. They probably didn't consummate it until she was 13 (the respectable marrying age back then).

What about the supposed New Covenant that says it's OK to eat shrimp and work on Saturday?

Just gauge the reactions. No Democrat who has held Obama's position has followed his "evolving" and they are terrified at doing so. There's been (muted, but for them, pretty unprecedented) pushback from black churches on the issue. Every single swing state that is currently a literal tossup right now has passed some form of restriction on same sex marriage. When you remove large bastions of socially liberal urban voters from the population, support for same sex unions drops dramatically.

Barack Obama was forced by his base to move left because his need for money is greater than the potential risk of losing voters. This is not the action of a confident man who expects to win re-election. It's proof he knows he can lose and, if things don't change much, probably will.

Does it specifically address that same sex relationships being an abomination? If not, I would think it's still in effect.

I don't share in or accept Christian dogma. I just recognize it exists.

Yup. It's all based in reelection, and how to make donations to fund such. He's the typical politician and worse.

It was arranged (and they were cousins), but the Jewish definition of "marriage" is consummation.

Sounds like the reaction to Truman's desegregation order in 1948.

Great men like Truman and Obama will always be remembered for being ahead of history and putting righteousness ahead of personal gain.

Those remaining silent in the face of such courageous leadership are remembered as cowards and weasels.

Yep, and when they "evolved" the Democrats lost their stranglehold on the South forever.

The Democratic Party is not longer associated with hatred anymore. They are no longer associated with restricting rights anymore. They are no longer associated with restricting opportunity anymore.

Problem with that is?

Persona;;y, I don't care whether people support or don't support the president's position on same-sex anything. This is just a distraction to keep people from thinking about the economy. For once and for all, that's the ball we need to be keeping our I on.
