Dude, the Harlem line above Southeast is Hazard County. I expect to see the General Lee parked in the Dover Plains lot when I go up there. Even their McDonalds is staffed by white people. It's as close as you can get to the southern tier from the city without driving. |

Actually, I had bad experience with store brand peanuts. I opened the can, and the peanuts had bits of metal from the inner lining all over them. Bought store brand soda which tasted like mouthwash. Generally, I try to avoid no-name heavily processed food. Simpler things like toilet tissue is not a problem. |

Yes, but only for basics or what's good on sale. Scaturos suffers from a lack of parking. And avoid their ground beef. I used to work there and know several who have over the years. That's all I'm saying. |

One thing I've noticed about Trader Joe's is that they put their oranges in bags with orange colored netting. Lemons in yellow netting. Lime in green netted bags. This is too fool customers who don't notice the real color of the fruits.Trader Joe's does not have good fresh fruits and vegetables. The pre-cut veggies are ok and are fresh because they move fast because most people don't make their own salad at home. |

I actually went to Whole Foods a couple weeks ago. It's right across the street from the Trader Joes I go to in Lake Grove by Smithaven Mall. They actually have a pretty cheap selection of frozen pre-prepared Mexican food dishes, and they weren't half bad. I never thought I would go back there again, but I probably will.Trader Joes is a little more down to earth, and also has wonderful pre-prepared frozen foods too. |

I get my veggies in the Mejican neighborhoods of TX now. The prices and quality is on a 3rd world level. Not to mention the 3rd world fruits too, want a giant cactus 'leaf'? 33/lb if you want tomatos. I haven't spent over 30 cents for a pepper in almost a year. 28 cents for a can of tomato paste. under a buck for celery or lettuce... |

You get what you pay for, and some people can't afford to pay more. The proof that Wal-Mart stuff is crap is that the company does better in a recession than in good times. |

Hey, I live very close to the Stop & Shop on Cypress Hills Street and Myrtle. It's a nice looking store, but sometimes expensive.I agree with Wal-mart. Having the best prices don't make up for having the worst customers. Esp, annoying old people that talk to each other non-stop when you're waitng on line about lame storries. I'd go Target anyday over Wal-mart crappy environment. I agree with Food Lion. Those stores are pretty run down and don't look appealing at all. |
