Police shoots 22 year old in Brooklyn; Where's Rev. Al??? |

Posted by rbseabeach on Tue Mar 9 13:58:08 2010 There was a shooting of a 22 year old in Brooklyn yesterday. He was waving a toy gun! THe police shot and killed him!!!!Yet... it wasn't front page news. Rev. Al wasn't there, there have been no press conferences, no special proscecuters, no marches, and I do not think Bruce Springsteen will be writing any songs about it. As a matter os fact the boy's father DEFENDED the police?!! I cannot understand this. Why was this EXECUTION by the cops different???? ANy ideas?? |

This is not in dispute; have you seen the ads in the MTA system about toy guns versus real guns? They look the same, and an officer of the law can't tell the difference. |

IF the poor young msn that was shot and killed by police under the identical circumstances was black, the police would have been crusified. There would not have been the benefit of the doubt, there would have been marches,outrage etc. The bottom line is all of these unfortunate tragedies should be looked at the same way regardless of the victims skin color. If the police were wrong so be it but if they were correct, then so be it as well. The NYPD risk their lives everyday to protect us, they deserve the benefit of the doubt. |
