Obama came to his senses, and proposed to not trial the 911 attackers as civilians, and rightfull is floating back to trialing them militarily, as it should be, and the ACLU takes out this ad of Obama turning to Bush...

I believe gays should be able to get a "civil union" that gives them the same benefits a married couple enjoys, such a joint filing, life insurance, health insurance, etc.......As far as abortion, I've heard both sides, and feel that the Christian right should understand that there are women and babies at risk unless an abortion is performed. |

When I went to a few masses in LA they would pass out cards that gave the church position on such issues to use as a voting guide. Maybe they don't always vote that way though. Evidently the authors of Freakonomics believe that the drop in crime across the US over the last two decades is due in large part to Roe v. Wade. At least I think that I read that somewhere. I also read a post on Curbed LA where a commenter suggested that LA has half the crime of 20 years ago because LA has lost half of it's black population. |
