True, but that's not the point he nor I was trying to make.I don't particulary care for hot weather either, but really the battle is between states with an eye towards massive government apparatuses (CA, The East Coast, Rust Belt) and those who are more libertarian (Great Plains, Deep South). The flow from high cost states to low costs states is why the legs are being kicked out from under CA and NY. |

All of the factories in the South (carpet, furniture, poultry, etc.) hired illegal immigrants. I remember reading that the carpet manufacturing town of Dalton, Georgia went from almost zero Hispanic to 50% Hispanic in less than 10 years just a few years back. Many of the blacks and whites lost their jobs. |
