Out there you can't find gas under $6 a gallon.How about food or any other materials that move by truck. Trucks run on gas. The extra expense is passed down to the consumer, thus spiking inflation. How about the price of an airline ticket? Been off to the wild blue yonder lately? On and On and On...Face it, we run on petroleum. Price spikes, we all get it. Even vinyl (petroleum derivative) records are taking a hit. |

I'm hearing that the COLA increase in Social Security payments next year will be about 3.5% thanks to inflation. Thats about one point more than last year's increase. |

Today. Right outside, at a station owned by some guy named Patel (no joke). But I don't use the stuff, I haven't bought gas in years. Kinda like how you didn't answer the question but posted some heresay and complained about California gas prices. So, I ask again. How are you hurting exactly? |

It's 13.446 higher, in terms of 1983 dollars (the 100.0 basis). It's 4% higher since the last of the Biden days. The next release date is June 10th. Mark your calendar, want to bet the consumer price index will be lower than in the Biden days, or even lower than the the April 2025 CPI? |

There's a B & B in Galitzen right next to the right of way sitting atop of a small hill at the mouth of the west end of the Galitzen tunnel. Dozens of trains daily pass thru that spot. A trip to the nearby Horseshoe Curve and its gift shop is a good way to spend a day. |

Newsome could suspend the state tax. But that will never happen. He wants living on fossil fuels to be as difficult & expensive as possible, wanting everyone to drive electric cars. As an aside, AFAIK California has no pipelines primarily due to all that seismic activity. All their oil comes from truck, train & tanker, making the cost of gas more expensive out there tax or on tax. |
