Here's a link to the US Consumer Price Index graph. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CPIAUCSL If you set it to the 5 year range, you can see Jan 2025 (end of Biden days): 318.961 Apr 2026 (latest data): 332.407 The April 2026 figure is higher than Jan 2025. It's 13.446 higher, in terms of 1983 dollars (the 100.0 basis). It's 4% higher since the last of the Biden days. The next release date is June 10th. Mark your calendar, want to bet the consumer price index will be lower than in the Biden days, or even lower than the the April 2025 CPI? |
