While one can debate over the definition of celebrity, former NFL coach Marv Levy is my selection as the best oldest living celebrity. He's a couple minutes months older than Dick Van Dyke.

Never heard of Marv Levy. Whereas I have very much heard of Dick Van Dyke, Don Rickles, and David Attenborough.

And also Eva Marie Saint, June Lockhart, and Mel Brooks.

I wouldn't say she's a celebrity in her own right, but Jackie Robinson's widow Rachel turns 104 in a couple months. What's also remarkable is that she's outlived him by 54 years and counting. And he was not all that young when he died, so Rachel is not in an Empress Zita category.

I have always admired Rachel, a truly remarkable woman. She has always been known for her compassion and concern in advocating for civil rights among other issues. Until recently, she was an eloquent voice for the causes she and Jackie Robinson devoted themselves to over the years. Her interviews back in the 2010s with PBS, when the Ken Burns documentary about the life of Jackie Robinson was about to be released, and JBS which discussed many topics to include her relationship with the Jewish community and the(ir) "shared struggle".

Marv Levy was the Head Coach of the NFL's Buffalo Bills from 1986 to 1997.
