Today was the start of the Covid pandemic lockdown. We're still trying to get back to pre pandemic status on many levels.

Covid is going to be like Viet Nam, meaning everyone will know or know of someone who died either in Nam or from Covid. And to a lesser extent 9/11

March 16th, is my birthday.
On March 18th, 2020, I was diagnosed with Covid-19 and spent four days in Good Sam Hospital.

And then Pennsylvania Gov Wolf closed all the state run liquor stores throwing thousands out of work. W. Virginia, Ohio & New York states stores remained open. Liquor stores near the border cashed in big time with all that extra business. I don't remember what Maryland did.

Made a full recovery I assume? I got lucky. My wife and myself never caught it. However, She died of a heart attack on Jan 29, 2022 shortly after getting a 3d booster shot. Coincidence? She never had a history of heart disease. I asked her health care providers and her cardiologist if that 3d Covid shot could have contributed to the fatal arrythmia (discovered at the autopsy) that killed her. I was told at the time that there was not enough evidence to say one way or the other to make that determination. Neatly put CYA answer. A very politically correct "I don't know". I'm still waiting for a more definite answer. She still has blood and tissue sample stored somewhere. My guess is that I'll have a long wait for an answer.

Before covid I was assigned to a new location. As most small shops, this one had a supt. and deputies. I was assigned to the inspection line. As the 3 other managers were hispanic who were referred to as the 3 amigos. I was an outsider and they wanted someone else instead if me. They did their best to make me feel unwelcome including holding meetings where they spike only spanish. Eventually wird got back to the assistant chief and i was moved and promoted. I heard that the shop i came from was hit by covid. Two of the 3 amigos eventually succumbed to the disease leaving 2 vacancies. Happy ending but Sadly even after 20 years the 3rd amigo is still alive as far as i know.
