Most of Manhattan is so high that even if all the ice in Greenland melted, they'd still be showing.Superstorm Sandy wasn't that long ago. A little bit of Manhattan is filled in land. The most recent being Battery Park City, which is built on what was excavated for the Twin Towers. Superstorm Sandy's flood reach essentially covered what had been filled in over a span of 400 years. It's a thing that happened, it was probably random.Second, the same phenomenon can have both a natural and an artificial cause for different events. A forest fire can be both entirely naturally occurring, caused by human activity, or just affected by human activity. So the existence of natural warming doesn't mean that there can't be artificial warming too. |
