Re: Global warming lol

Most of Manhattan is so high that even if all the ice in Greenland melted, they'd still be showing.

Superstorm Sandy wasn't that long ago. A little bit of Manhattan is filled in land. The most recent being Battery Park City, which is built on what was excavated for the Twin Towers. Superstorm Sandy's flood reach essentially covered what had been filled in over a span of 400 years.

Here's a link to a flood plain map, with various scenarios. Large parts of Manhattan will be gone in less than 75 years.

Your map does not support your claim.

And only a small part of Manhattan is less than 20 feet above mean high water. Surely you don't assert that sea level will rise 20 feet in 75 years!

Of course not. It's not even left-wing radical thought that makes them think that they can. Its for their privilaged class to seperate themselves from the commoners so they can have their 10,000 sq. ft. Ocean front mansions & pools, their private jets and luxury autos while their minions live with deminished capacity appliances, eat dreck, and live in hovels powered by a turbine that produces some ecteicity when there's wind.

Wind and solar power are the most cost effective forms of electricity generation today. You're living in the past.

And even if you believed that climate isn't currently being affected by humans, isn't it presumptuous to say that it never will?

It depends on where. Wind can be very reliable and solar is very reliable.

What they aren’t is consistent. Obviously solar will never work 24/7.

I don't know much about wind, except they have turbines now so big one can power an entire village, but you can power the entire nation on a few square miles of solar in the middle of the country.
We have batteries powering cities and islands today with capacities that you cannot imagine.

tl;dr, solar can power ny 24/7 with no outages.

They have a code orange day where they say limit travel. No one does of course ("freedom!"), but this doesn't effect me. I don't leave emissions. I don't compete with my car for air.

It’s more the “some.”

There are still climate alarmists out there. That they’re likely wrong doesn’t mean that climate change isn’t real.

A lot of people use climate change to advance their “degrowth” agenda, which is popular on the left, but is basically what the Khmer Rouge did (whom the left wholeheartedly supported). God, I hate them.

Truth. But what I never got is the ice age. The earth cooled to the point of creating massive crust carving continent shaping glaciers, then melting them when the Earth warmed up w/o any help from mankind. Just reinforces the theory of cyclical cooling/ heating of our planet.

Well this is the result of technology and population right?
In my life the population of the world has about doubled. (8.2b vs 4.1)
Since 1850 or so there are 7 billion more people on the planet.
In 15 years there are a billion more people.
Is that the cause by man?
Or is folks driving their Hondas and Datsuns?
Or the Pete Rosa #megagigafactories

Greenhouses are CO2-poor environments; the plants are breathing that gas in and expelling oxygen. Water vapor makes greenhouses hot.

First, that doesn't make it cyclical, like a sine wave. It's a thing that happened, it was probably random.

Second, the same phenomenon can have both a natural and an artificial cause for different events. A forest fire can be both entirely naturally occurring, caused by human activity, or just affected by human activity.

So the existence of natural warming doesn't mean that there can't be artificial warming too.

Greenhouses aren't airtight. The "greenhouse effect" isn't a metaphor about the greenhouse's atmosphere, it's a metaphor about its glass roof.
