Thunderstorm brings snow to Hawaii in July

An overnight thunderstorm dropped 1½ to 2 inches of snow on the summit of Hawaii's tallest peak in July.

Cameras at Mauna Kea's summit showed some snow still on the ground midday Friday. Mauna Kea Weather Center forecast meteorologist Ryan Lyman says it should be melting quickly.

National Weather Service meteorologist Maureen Ballard says snow can fall on the summit any time of year, though there's a greater chance in the winter.

The latest snowfall came as a thunderstorm extended high into the atmosphere, above the mountain's peak elevation of nearly 14,000 feet.

Ballard says temperatures at the summit were about freezing overnight.

The low in the nearby city of Hilo was 71 degrees. Kailua-Kona on the west side of the Big Island, had a low of 78 degrees.

The left has become the true party of climate deniers. They cannot accept the facts that:
Climate is a cyclical phenomenon.
Climate to a large extent will not be controlled by man.

We cannot be sure but it would seem that the warming cycle has reached its peak and is now beginning its decades long slow descent. It seems that even our Atlantic tropical storms might have shifted from their past tracks. Climate controls us. Leftists cannot accept true science.

Ifeftist radicals think they can control things, perhaps they should start small like volcanos or earthquakes or maybe the riotous behavior of their minions before they tackle climate

It was fairly dry but rainier in the spring.
My assessment is based on being outdoors and working ball games. Admittedly I didn’t work as much as in the past but it just didn’t get quite as hot out there as in the past in 2025

You also claim that climate change is a secular religion, and yet you are the one who treats the climate like some mysterious black box that can’t be manipulated by the monkeys that built an artificial sun.

We're not controlling it, we're fucking it up.

The left isn't doing us any favors by also being against geöengineering,* which is probably the real solution to the problem.

It's not hard. There's more CO2 in the atmosphere now than there was in preïndustrial times, and it's also getting warmer. Sure, it could just be a coïncidence, but then what's the alternate explanation? Sunspots?

I think that's a record for diaereses in a single post.

*The right is guilty of this also.
