Or if you had hoped to watch him for the first time, it ain't happening. Because of the stupid and insensative remarks that kimmel made during his monday night monologue, ABC has decided to pull kimmel from the air, indefinitely. I'm betting that right about now, mr. Kimmel wishes that he had commented with a bit more compassion and thought.

We'll see. I'd guess that he feels like his comments were justified.

It's weird and somewhat surprising that half the people following the story think that then killer is in love with a transgender furry, while the other half think that's completely fake news.

All of my news sources are reporting the transgender furry story with no suggestion that it's fake. Where is everyone else getting their news?

He didn’t say anything bad about Kirk, he claimed that the killer was a right winger, and that’s it.

It’s false, but it wasn’t insensitive, but the government decided that now is the time to start implementing fascism. Now I know why I felt bad when I heard the news about Kirk being murdered.

Yep. His murder was very bad for our country.

I can understand firing people for celebrating Kirk's death. But Kimmel didn't do anything of the sort.

many in MAGA land are working very hard to capitalize on the murder of Charlie Kirk.

You don't think that's insensitive for viewers that might be MAGA and also liked Kirk? At the very least it could alienate viewers. His show was put on hiatus because a company that owns 23 ABC stations said that they would preempt it. There's a reason that we never new who Carson, Leno, Letterman, and all the rest voted for.

I agree. What he said wasn't a dismissal offense. Slap on the wrist maybe, but not an outright firing.
THe real deal here is that the network was looking for an excuse to kill the show. It was a monumental money loser with lousy ratings. Network TV ratings are in freefall these days. You can add up the ratings for all three of these late night knuckleheads and they come nowhere near what Carson was getting. The government had nothing to do with this. It was strictly a business decision as it was with Stephen Colbert. Jimmy Fallon...watch your back!

They said they would preëmpt it because they want to curry favor with our leader. That’s the only reason.

Letterman got political in his kater years. In his early years he showed wnough talent that he didnt need to be political.

When they cancelled Colbert they could plausibly claim it was a business decision. But by cancelling Kimmel this way, it’s obviously because of viewpoint discrimination.

Sure it's insensitive and may have seriously displeased some viewers. But that's part of Kimmel's approach to comedy.

This would be a lot less serious if the Chairman of the FCC hadn't criticized Kimmel.

This is 100% true? I think that's referencing the claims on one side that Robinson is a leftist man in love with a transgender furry and the other that he's maga.
