What he said wasn't a dismissal offense. Slap on the wrist maybe, but not an outright firing.THe real deal here is that the network was looking for an excuse to kill the show. It was a monumental money loser with lousy ratings. Network TV ratings are in freefall these days. You can add up the ratings for all three of these late night knuckleheads and they come nowhere near what Carson was getting. The government had nothing to do with this. It was strictly a business decision as it was with Stephen Colbert. Jimmy Fallon...watch your back! |
