"Denny's" has a RICH history of treating "minorities" poorly. Their "food" is so-so but not all THAT bad, but the attitudes of many employees are reason enough to choose between eats at "waffle house" or "I-HOP." The "red states" have reverted to older behaviors WITH the approval of the GeeOhPee ... and "Denny's" is part of the old south. And to THINK ... those bigots USED to be DEMOCRATS before Bill Clinton changed the course.

Dennys got a truckload of bad PR (and a lawsuit, a few years ago when they refused to serve a group of (well-dressed) black men. They complained to management, to no avail. Imagine the look on the Denny's CEO's face, when it turned out that the black men...were all part of President Clinton's Secret Service detail!

Haha, yeah, the wings are great at Hooters. That's were us guys usually wind up after we go to a game or something (when it's just us guys, and we can plea the fifth our women afterwards....haha). It's a great place to have some wings and a couple of beers.

But kidding aside, they must really train the waitresses to act stupid. No ONE can be THAT stupid. I have never gone to Hooters when a waitress got the entire order correct. They "always" get something wrong and get completely ditzy about it.... They "HAVE" to train them, as I don't think it's possible how "dumb" Hooters waitresses are!

I'm not sure about the 99% but it could be a local thing. ShopRite chain consists of 27 independent operators in three states. When there is a sale on Coca-Cola products, Dr. Pepper is included in the offer. Carefully perusing the soda isle brings out the demarcation of 'shelf space.' Dr. Pepper is with Coke. A&W is with Canada Dry.
Seven up 'floats.' Pepsi has its own area. The Dr. Pepper/Seven Up corperation products are bottled by independents.

New Jersey has its own soda....Vernors...a lemon flavored ginger ale. Easier to find Goya ginger beer...'oh boya.'

IF you searched back to my original post in cyberspace, you'de know my bark. Briefly, there are four Coca-Cola vending machines in my shop that charge $1 for a can of soda. One machine is a bottle vendor that not only carries Pepsi and Snapple products but charges $2 for a 24oz. bottle of 'A-Treat' black cherry soda. Machines in other MTA facilities charge no more than seventy five cents.

I worked in the vending/amusement/music/revenue industry as a field engineer for 21 years. I know all the electronic control systems...and the contracts. What you can do is apply to a company like Coca-Cola for an account and obtain vendors (like Dixie-Narco glassfronts) for free with full free service under contract provided you purchase minimal product from local bottler. Our operator fills the machines from 'refrigerator twelve packs,' Industry uses brown card 24 packs...these guys buy product on sale from Hess convienence stores by the handtruck.

So why my bark? Crew smucks steal my soda from breakroom refrigerator because they don't want to spend a DOLLAH! All one has to do is ask me...if I have something asked for, it is usually given without reluctance. Through Saturday, four Coke twelvepacks plus a bonus case of Dasani water for ten bucks at ShopRite. RRCI Peter

That is not necessarily so. IF you go to Sams Club to buy bulk packed fountain syrup, you must first sign a licensing agreement. IF you operate a fountain under service contract of Pepsi, the fountain must only vend Pepsi products. Bar taps offer an interesting scenario in that individual taps are serviced through the beer distrubutor by an independent contractor payed through the brewer to insure product quality...unlike vending machines and fountains, you can change out poor selling product and pay for new kegs and gas.

A pint of Godiva Belgian Dark drenched in Hershey Special Dark syrup with half a cup of cashews. We're not talking RTO 'MacBag-it' brown paper shopping bag empties left in the transverse cab for CIs to clean up.

Railroad recipe: Toast two Eggo waffles. Assemble with slab of French vanilla ice cream. Lubricate assembly with Log Cabin syrup and test before contacting Quality Assurance.
