Pasteurized, non homogenized whole milk is healthier. The natural fat globules actually attach to cholesterol in the gut and cleans it out. Homogenization messes up those globules. A recent study found and elaborated on this phenomenon.Geodes luck finding the stuff, though. People need to start demanding it. |

Raw milk is dangerous unless consumed within 30 minutes after the cow. Seriously, by that time the bacteria levels are too high to be safe. It's hard to find pasteurized, non homogenized milk.Some farms use VAT pasteurization without homogenizing milk. Family Farmstead in upstate is one such dairy farmer. It hard to find it. You have to go to Whole Foods or some upscale market for it. It's very expensive. Raw milk is never homogenized. I have had it many times. Tens of thousands of Americans do it daily. Personally I find Haagen Daas to be great for weight loss and digestion. Something about frozen instead of fresh works for many people. Maybe it's the fermentation? Anyway I say let Americans have raw milk. Unfortunately the Democrats want to take away much more than raw milk. |
