The only way they'll get more tax revenue is to lower tax rates so that more economic activity can happen. |

Newsom can very easily be the Democrat candidate in 2028.Problem with driving liberals out of places like NY and CA, is that they go to red states and try to ruin them. They don't learn from blue state mistakes but selfishly repeat them. |

Of course, the method of estimation is not presented.Nor is the other side of the argument, to wit that lowering tax revenue would have the double effect of disincentivizing (since that's now a word) moving out and increasing economic activity thanks to prices getting lower. |

"Many Democrats say the income flight is overstated, since the number of millionaires in New York and California remains at or near all-time highs. They say that as federal aid winds down and tax revenue starts to decline, states should raise taxes on the wealthy."So there's no story here. ANd this is in a vacuum, remember Covid Aid was the "greatest thing to ever happen" to these places. |

The number of millionaires stays high because they're the only ones who can still afford to live there. But the left will come for them next. |
