Posted by Orange Blossom Special on Tue May 30 14:16:17 2023, in response to NY and CA lost combined $92B in tax revenue in 2020/21 thanks to resident flight to low-tax states, posted by Olog-hai on Mon May 29 16:22:25 2023. "Many Democrats say the income flight is overstated, since the number of millionaires in New York and California remains at or near all-time highs. They say that as federal aid winds down and tax revenue starts to decline, states should raise taxes on the wealthy."So there's no story here. ANd this is in a vacuum, remember Covid Aid was the "greatest thing to ever happen" to these places. |
